Morning food awaits Sofiatou and the women returning with dry branches on their heads. Sorghum porridge fuelled their early morning work and now they are hungry. Cereal does not supply enough calories and two-thirds of the country’s women are anemic.

 J’étais vêtue de rose et, juste après avoir pris cette photo, j’ai glissé et suis tombée dans la boue.  Tout le monde sur ce versant de montagne s’est arrêté et a rit de bon cœur de ce petit incident. Alor en regardant cette photo, je me dis que  du coin de l’oeil tout le monde m’observait.

 I was dressed in pink and, just after taking this picture, I slipped and fell in the mud.  Everyone on that mountainside stopped and laughed heartily at this little incident. It means that in this picture, everyone is observing from the corner of their eyes.

 Au Myanmar, My My Ye cuisine. Autour d’elle les urnes de terre cuites. Une pour l’eau à boire, une autre pour l’eau de cuisson, et les deux autres pour se laver les mains et les pieds. Les eaux ne doivent jamais se mélanger.
